Leah’s Boxer Pups – Litter 2015

Leah had her first litter in 2015. She was a new Mama and it was the first time I had Boxer puppies for sale. I didn’t want to be like many other Boxer puppy breeders who were just looking for color or some extra money.

Leah had not only superb conformation and a beautiful head she had a personality to match. As a pup, she walked next to us and never pulled on the leash. Several people asked if we were going to bred her and they wanted a pup if we did.

Six Pups – 2 white, 2 fawn, 2 brindle

Aren't these 6 day old Boxer puppies adorable?
Leah’s puppies from her first litter in 2015

She started to go into labor late afternoon and I stayed up with Leah all night. The first pup was born at midnight. I remember this distinctly as our daughter Hope had just gone to bed, too tired to stay up.

But she heard Leah cry out when the first pup was born and raced downstairs. After the first pup, Leah wasn’t surprised anymore and went right to work cleaning them.

I did have to remove the sack from the first two pups before Leah got her bearings and took over.

Bailey and her Boxer Dad

We had some new puppy families visit several times a week. Bailey here was very well bonded with her new Boxer Dad by the time she went home.

6 wk Flashy Brindle Boxer (Lucy)

Since the pups were born in the early summer that meant they could go outside at an early age. Lucy above just loved running around in the grass. She lives locally and we have seen her several times.

Bailey at a couple of days old

There is nothing more precious than baby Boxer puppies after they are finished nursing. Their little tongues stay curled up as if around a teat.

They are blind and deaf until about 10 days of age when their eyes and ears open.

Flashy Brindle Boxer Puppy (Leia)

I am an avid photographer and love newborn puppy photography. This is done before their eyes open and they have just been fed.

I have seen some pretty creative newborn puppy photos on Pinterest but our girls are just too protective for us to get them dresses up and posed with props.

This cute Boxer puppy dog will brighten your smile and day. The white Boxer dog is greatly misunderstood, but the facts about white Boxer dogs is most are not blind, nor deaf. They do not have any more health problems than regular Boxer Dogs.
4 Day-old White Boxer Puppy (Charlie)

We don’t want to stress Mom or the puppies so while I handle them a couple of times a day the first week I take more lifestyle photos.

My favorite shots are posing newborn puppies in mens hands. Boxer pups are pretty big when they are born and they grow REALLY fast. Charlie above is cradled in my oldest sons’ hands and he is 6’8″. I just love this photo.

Now visit and see Leah’s second litter…
